# What is FlipVault?

FlipVault is a social, peer-to-peer trading platform designed to make digital asset trading more interactive, flexible, and fun. In contrast to static NFT marketplaces and complex DeFi protocols, FlipVault introduces real-time and asynchronous bartering—enabling users to trade NFTs, cryptocurrencies, and other tokenized assets directly with one another.

Built on Aptos with the goal of becoming completely cross-chain, FlipVault combines game-inspired mechanics (like live trading rooms and user profiles) with social features such as chat, messaging, and visible trade activity. The platform addresses fragmentation in Web3 by offering a unified, user-driven trading experience that will soon expand cross-chain and integrate directly into games and marketplaces.
